AWESOME

JHAKAAS is Mumbai street slang meaning, fantastic or awesome. It is the only name we could give our beer which is brewed to be the perfect accompaniment to Indian cuisine.

OUR STORY

We love beer and Indian food. I’m not sure we could tell you which we love most but what I can tell you is that there are no two things you can enjoy more together. We wanted a more flavourful craft beer to enjoy with the variety of new Indian dishes on offer, so we have worked on developing the perfect Pale Ale to compliment them. We think the beer is so good that there is only one name for it.. JHAKAAS!

JHAKAAS IPA

EFFECTS2.png

IMPORTED INDIAN PALE ALE

We wanted to create a Pale Ale that would be the perfect match to our favourite dishes. The first bite as they say is with the eye and Jhakaas IPA has a beautiful bright yellow body because it is brewed only with Pilsen Malt. Jhakaas IPA has an awesome refreshing bitter citrus flavour, which is the result of brewing with an abundance of Magnum, Mosaic and Cascade Hops. We know that for more and more people having a vegetarian option is really important and we are proud to say that Jhakaas IPA is vegetarian. We think it goes perfectly with Dal Makhani. If you haven’t had the pleasure of this awesome combo, give the recipe below a go.

PILSEN STYLE LAGER

Sometimes nothing can refresh the taste buds like an ice cold pint of Lager, and Jhakaas Lager delivers refreshment in style. It is a Pilsen style Lager that has been brewed with Pilsen Malt and Saaz Hops for a crisp clean finish that leaves you gasping for the next sip of your pint or bite of your curry. Try it with a spicy Gilafi Seekh Kebab straight from the charcoal tandoori oven.

IPA

This recipe was kindly provided by our mate Vivek’s Mum, Rewa Singh. Viv, was the one who started to introduce us to the regional influences in Indian cuisine, and his mum was kind enough to share their family recipe for this traditional Punjab dish that is a favourite of ours.

Thank you Mrs Singh x
